Chief has purchased substantially all assets of the Cornhusker Energy ethanol plant in Lexington, NE. The plant, previously owned by Cornhusker Energy Lexington, LLC, will begin operating as Chief Ethanol Fuels, Inc. immediately.

The Lexington plant is capable of producing 50 million gallons of fuel annually. This purchase allows Chief Industries, Inc. to expand their presence in the ethanol industry. The plant they own and operate in Hastings, NE, was the state’s first dry-mill ethanol plant. It produces 70 million gallons of ethanol annually.
