About Chief Ethanol

A pioneer in the ethanol industry, Chief Ethanol Fuels, Inc. operates Nebraska’s first dry-mill ethanol plant and remains committed to producing renewable fuel and high-quality animal feed today. The Hastings plant has been Chief owned and operated since 1990.

On May 27, 2016, Chief purchased the Cornhusker Energy ethanol plant in Lexington, NE. The plant, previously owned by Cornhusker Energy Lexington, LLC, is now operating as Chief Ethanol Fuels, Inc. Combined, our two plants have a production capacity of over 120 million gallons of fuel annually.
