The Hastings, NE ethanol plant is Nebraska’s first dry-mill ethanol plant and has been in production since 1985. As part of the Chief family since 1990, Chief Ethanol Fuels, Inc. has been a pioneer in the ethanol industry and remains committed to producing renewable fuel and consistently high quality animal feed.
On May 27, 2016, Chief purchased the Cornhusker Energy ethanol plant in Lexington, NE. The plant, previously owned by Cornhusker Energy Lexington, LLC, is now operating as Chief Ethanol Fuels, Inc. Combined, our two plants have a production capacity of over 120 million gallons of fuel annually.
